Samsung groups bE2 with stuck-button codes. The safe first check is the panel itself with the dryer off; the code does not identify a heater or motor replacement.
Samsung US dryer bE/bE2/bC2/6E/6E2/6C2 family. Washer codes and model-specific exceptions must not be imported.
Stop for smoke, burning smells, abnormal heat or repeated breaker trips. Let the dryer cool before cleaning. Do not expose wiring, bypass interlocks or work on gas components. If gas is smelled, leave and call the utility or emergency services from a safe location.
Compare the behavior
A button-code warning reports a detected input problem; it does not identify the failed component. Note whether a button feels stuck and whether the code returns after the permitted external checks.
| Observed state | Interpretation / next step |
|---|---|
| bE2 with a visibly held button | Release gently with power off. |
| No physical obstruction and code returns | Stop repeated keypad attempts and request service. |
| Only a lock indicator appears | Use the correct lock instructions instead. |
Code-specific checks
Check for an input that stays active
Power the dryer off. Touch and release the buttons individually, including their edges, as Samsung directs. Remove anything resting on the panel. Do not pry keys, flood the controls with cleaner or press hard enough to damage a membrane.
Separate stuck from locked
A locked panel and a continuously detected input are different observations. Photograph the displayed characters before trying a combination. If the code disappears, note which input appeared held. If a button is visibly damaged or the code returns, Samsung directs service.
Preserve a useful fault description
Tell support whether the code appears immediately at power-on, after a particular button, or after a cycle starts. That timing is a reproducible observation; it is not proof that one particular electronic part is defective.
If the warning returns
Free normal button movement once; recurrent or damaged controls need service.
When to stop and get help
Only carry out maintenance permitted in your model’s manual. For service, note the full model number and suffix, displayed code, selected cycle and what happened during the checks. Leave internal wiring, gas components, pumps and safety devices to a qualified professional. A symptom alone does not identify a failed part.
