Build the selection before saving
Select the desired course with the dial and choose its permitted options. Then hold My Cycle for more than three seconds. The manual describes a blinking My Cycle indicator while saving. A short tap before this step can recall the previous selection instead.
Test the correct thing
After saving, use a short press to recall the saved course and compare the settings you intended to retain. Do not use the absence of Wrinkle Prevent as a failed-save test: the manufacturer expressly excludes it from this function.
If recall still differs
Record the exact course and options before and after recall. Check the cycle chart for whether each requested option is available. That gives support a reproducible control issue rather than the vague report that the dryer “forgets everything.” Avoid applying a conflicting save procedure from another Samsung generation.
What to record next
The same button performs opposite-direction tasks depending on duration. The excluded option also creates a false failure signal unless it is removed from the test.
When to stop and get help
Only carry out maintenance permitted in your model’s manual. For service, note the full model number and suffix, displayed code, selected cycle and what happened during the checks. Leave internal wiring, gas components, pumps and safety devices to a qualified professional. A symptom alone does not identify a failed part.
