When Sensor Dry ends normally but laundry is still damp, compare it with a suitable timed cycle. Small or mixed loads and residue on the sensing surfaces can affect automatic drying. This is a different symptom from losing electrical power during a cycle.

Stop for smoke, burning smells, abnormal heat or repeated breaker trips. Let the dryer cool before cleaning. Do not expose wiring, bypass interlocks or work on gas components. If gas is smelled, leave and call the utility or emergency services from a safe location.
Choose the observed outcome
A normal automatic-cycle ending and an abrupt shutdown are different failures. If the panel reaches completion, load contact and the automatic decision to stop are worth investigating. If it goes dark, the sensor explanation is not enough. A timed-versus-automatic comparison is useful evidence, but it cannot distinguish dirty sensing surfaces from every control or installation issue by itself.

Use a load of similar fabrics, within the model’s loading guidance. A single small garment is a poor diagnostic load because it may not make consistent sensor contact.

With the dryer off and cool, locate the sensors using its manual. Follow Samsung’s cleaning guidance; avoid abrasives and do not pour liquid into the drum or control panel.

Only carry out maintenance permitted in your model’s manual. For service, note the full model number and suffix, displayed code, selected cycle and what happened during the checks. Leave internal wiring, gas components, pumps and safety devices to a qualified professional. A symptom alone does not identify a failed part.
