Wait for motion to stop and the door or lid to unlock. Water may be hot. Isolate power and follow the exact manual before any user filter maintenance. Never open a filter against a full drum, force a lock or bypass an interlock.

Reconstruct the power event
Record whether the supply actually went out, a breaker tripped, or the washer was unplugged mid-cycle. Those are distinct events. A recent outage is not proof that the washer control board now needs replacement.
Check the installation safely
Check only the visible installation: Samsung calls for a dedicated circuit without an extension cord. A damaged cord, burning smell, wet electrical area or repeated breaker trip stops owner troubleshooting. Do not reset a repeatedly tripping breaker or measure a live outlet as a washer maintenance step.
Supply versus appliance diagnosis
