Wait for motion to stop and the door or lid to unlock. Water may be hot. Isolate power and follow the exact manual before any user filter maintenance. Never open a filter against a full drum, force a lock or bypass an interlock.

The outage is context, while AC6 is the current diagnostic observation. Treating the first as proof of board damage would skip the actual communication investigation.

Record what still responds
Write down whether the washer reached cycle selection, filled, or stopped before motion. If another code alternates with AC6, retain both in order. Do not replace the more familiar code with a generic description such as not spinning.
One permitted restart
Follow the exact manual power-off/restart instruction once, provided the washer and electrical area are safe. A repeatable AC6 after normal power has returned is not an invitation to keep cycling the breaker. Do not unplug or reconnect internal harnesses as an owner test.
Communication is not a board diagnosis
Tell service which functions still respond and whether the fault recurs immediately or only during a specific operation. The code family identifies communication trouble; it cannot decide which communicating component is responsible.
If the warning returns

When to stop and get help
Only carry out maintenance permitted in your model’s manual. For service, note the full model number and suffix, displayed code, selected cycle and what happened during the checks.
