A restriction result does not locate the restriction or tell the owner which part to buy. The practical improvement is documenting the entire route and validating the retest conditions.

Confirm this came from a test
Record the result and how the test was started. These codes belong to the vent test rather than a normal drying selection. Do not confuse an incomplete test or a temperature-condition result with a completed restriction finding.
Define what was actually cleaned
List the portions maintained: filter, transition connection, fixed duct and exterior termination. Ask the vent professional to assess the installed route against the exact dryer manual, including visible crushing and termination operation. A receipt saying “vent cleaned” does not describe the route’s condition or suitability.
Repeat under valid conditions
Use the manual’s cool, empty-drum instructions after documented maintenance. Do not open the door during the test or introduce laundry. If the same result persists, provide the code and installed-route information to the installer or service professional rather than running the dryer disconnected indoors.

Incomplete maintenance: address the full route professionally
Valid repeated failure after maintenance: investigate installation and appliance together.
When to stop and get help
Only carry out maintenance permitted in your model’s manual. For service, note the full model number and suffix, displayed code, selected cycle and what happened during the checks. Leave internal wiring, gas components, pumps and safety devices to a qualified professional. A symptom alone does not identify a failed part.
