The displayed cycle list can be personalized through My Cycles. Check whether the missing cycle was removed from the list before assuming the washer lost a function.
Models covered

Wait for motion to stop and the door or lid to unlock. Water may be hot. Isolate power and follow the exact manual before any user filter maintenance. Never open a filter against a full drum, force a lock or bypass an interlock.
Compare the behavior
Match the documented control, cycle or feature before interpreting the result. The comparison below keeps normal model behavior separate from an unresolved fault.
| Observed state | Interpretation / next step |
|---|---|
| Manual lists it; personal list omits it | Restore it through My Cycles. |
| Normal or Self Clean+ missing | That is outside ordinary removable-list behavior. |
| Cycle belongs to another model | Do not try to unlock it in service mode. |
Model-specific checks
Availability and visibility are different
First confirm the desired cycle belongs to the model in the manual. Then review the personalized list. An option seen on another Samsung product is not evidence that this washer should offer it; neither a factory reset nor a software update can establish an undocumented feature.
Inspect My Cycles
Open Options and select My Cycles. Use the model manual to add or remove the relevant cycle from the personal list. Normal and Self Clean+ cannot be removed. Avoid confusing the chosen list with AI Pattern, which relates to learned preferences rather than a missing mechanical capability.
Check the result at the dial
Return to cycle selection and look for the restored entry. If the menu itself fails or the listed cycle still cannot be selected, record the exact screen and software state for Samsung. Do not enter hidden service modes to recover a cycle or change product options.
What to record next
A smaller visible list can be customization rather than a fault. The two non-removable entries provide a useful check against treating every absent item as normal personalization.
When to stop and get help
Only carry out maintenance permitted in your model’s manual. For service, note the full model number and suffix, displayed code, selected cycle and what happened during the checks. Leave internal wiring, gas components, pumps and safety devices to a qualified professional. A symptom alone does not identify a failed part.
