Check Dose per Wash and Dose per Rinse after selecting the cycle. On this model those options turn off automatically for Wool, Delicates, Outdoor and Activewear.

WF50A8800AV/US; match the complete model suffix and the cited manual/control panel before following a sequence.
Wait for motion to stop and the door or lid to unlock. Water may be hot. Isolate power and follow the exact manual before any user filter maintenance. Never open a filter against a full drum, force a lock or bypass an interlock.
Compare the behavior
Match the documented control, cycle or feature before interpreting the result. The comparison below keeps normal model behavior separate from an unresolved fault.
| Observed state | Interpretation / next step |
|---|---|
| Works on Normal, not Delicates | Compare Dose per Wash state. |
| Option is Off | Enable the intended input level. |
| Enabled and seated but still fails | Follow dispenser maintenance or request service. |
Model-specific checks
A cycle-specific pattern is useful evidence
If dispensing works on Normal but not on one of the listed specialty cycles, compare the option state before cleaning or buying parts. The model manual explicitly describes the cycle-dependent setting. A filled reservoir is not sufficient when dispensing is disabled.
Restore the intended dose
Tap Options, select Dose per Wash or Dose per Rinse, and use OK to select the desired input level. Read the detergent concentration setting separately: amount and concentration serve different purposes. Use only the liquids permitted in the automatic compartments; powders and pods do not belong in their reservoirs.
If the enabled compartment still does nothing
Make sure the compartments are inserted completely and the drawer is closed. Follow the documented drawer-cleaning procedure if residue is present. Do not dilute detergent arbitrarily, pour water into the drawer recess or keep adding manual detergent while automatic dosing remains on. That can turn a dispensing complaint into excessive detergent use.
What to record next
This comparison distinguishes an intentionally disabled feature from a blocked or defective dispenser. It is more informative than resetting the whole washer and losing the selected state.
When to stop and get help
Only carry out maintenance permitted in your model’s manual. For service, note the full model number and suffix, displayed code, selected cycle and what happened during the checks. Leave internal wiring, gas components, pumps and safety devices to a qualified professional. A symptom alone does not identify a failed part.
